Franco Manca, Oxford

July 2017

Project Details

In August of this year Dentons were proud to hand over another Franco Manca, this time in the historic University City of Oxford. This particular one is located on George Street, a stone’s throw from the theatre and main shopping area.

Within this particular restaurant we designed a central island, combining both the pizzeria and servery areas. This created a focal point for the customer, and made best use of the space for the operators. To create this we fabricated a large stainless steel structure, which included a service duct that fed the refrigerated units, sink bowls etc. This frame was then clad in scaffold board and zinc, and finished off with a marble top. In the evenings, the outward facing illuminated refrigeration housed below further draws the eye from the street to the central design within.

This project was completed to our usual high standards, and handed over on time ready for the launch day as planned.
