Our Heritage

Dentons was originally founded by Edward Denton as a metal fabrication business, operating alongside a small high-street shop where their locally made products were sold directly to customers. From the outset, the business was rooted in quality workmanship and practical design.

In the 1970s, the company entered its second generation when George Nunn, who had worked alongside Edward Denton as a metal worker for many years, took over the running of the business. During this period, Dentons expanded beyond fabrication to include the sale of second-hand commercial kitchen equipment, responding to the evolving needs of the catering trade.

By the 1980s, the business continued to grow, supplying heavy-duty catering equipment, offering restaurant kitchen design services, and maintaining a busy high-street shop selling small wares to both the public and the trade.

Today, Dentons is proud to be in its third generation, with George’s children and grandchildren actively working within the business. This continuity ensures that decades of knowledge, values, and practical experience are passed down and applied to every project we undertake.
